There is a belief that we have to get rid of immediately that packaging is the last component remembered in the supply chain of a new product that will be offered to the market.
What should be done is to go from the end to the beginning. A secondary package (external package) should be designed according to the inner dimensions of the transportation vehicle and pallet dimensions, and a primary package that will best fit in to this package should be designed.
This sequence should be the most optimum solution for both economy and environment as it provides the opportunity for efficient transportation, storage and packaging.
