Olmuk was opened to the public in accordance with the policy of Türkiye Sınai Kalkınma Bankası in 1971 and its stocks started to be traded on the stock exchange since then.
The paper plant located in Edirne-Tayakadın commissioned to produce fluting and liner type paper from waste paper and straw in the beginning of 1971. This plant of ours has been making the entire production by using recycling paper since 1996.
A new expansion was planned in 1984 with the increasing effectiveness of Hacı Ömer Sabancı Holding A.Ş. over the management, and the name of our company was changed to OLMUKSA MUKAVVA SANAYİ VE TİCARET A.Ş.
Under the same expansion plan, İzmir Factory commissioned in 1985. In line with the same plan, Adana Factory that was commissioned to carry out only box production in 1992 started to provide packages to the region after becoming a modern facility with the completion of corrugated production integration in 1995.
With the belief that it is necessary to establish a partnership with a strong and experienced global company, we have become partners with International Paper Company and the current structure was established with equal shares of IP and Hacı Ömer Sabancı Holding A.Ş.. Thus, the name of our company was again changed to INTERNATIONAL PAPER - SABANCI AMBALAJ SANAYİ ve TİCARET A.Ş. in 1998.
Having started the production activities under the name of Kav Ambalaj Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., Bursa (1995) and Manisa (1997) Factories joined OLMUKSA after the merge on 28.12.2001.
Thanks to two powerful partners, experience and knowledge; OLMUKSA sees the future with confidence and attention as a proven leader in the packaging sector in Turkey.
